Medicare Supplement
Contact us to explain how Medicare works, how to sign up for Part B online and how to choose a Plan that works best for you.
Medicare – what is all that alphabet jargon? Medicare has Parts A, B, C, and D. Medicare Supplements are Plans A – N.
You can visit this site and apply for Part B of Medicare. Part A is the hospital portion which is automatic and at no charge, starting the 1st of the month in which you turn 65. Part B is for all medical providers, in or out of the hospital, labs, x-rays, etc. This generally costs about $105 per month but could be more depending on your income.
In addition, you’d want a Medicare Supplement which runs about $140 for Plan F which is the best one – giving you almost 100% coverage for Medicare eligible expenses. And, you’d want a Part D for your prescriptions.
Or, some people choose to go only with Part C which is a Medicare Advantage plan. It is less expensive but more restrictive as to which providers you can see.
