Family & Individual Medical
At this time all major insurance carriers (Aetna, BCBS, Humana, and UHC) have made a decision to no longer work with agents. This means if you have a Qualifying Life Event (QLE), which qualifies you for a Special Enrollment Period, you will have to deal directly with the carriers. Please contact us with any questions.
The Affordable Care Act has brought many changes to health insurance for individuals and their families, including coverage for maternity, mental/nervous conditions and substance abuse treatment that were rarely covered by individual polices before. Pre-existing conditions are covered immediately with no declinations for health reasons if you enroll at Open Enrollment or if you are eligible for a Special Enrollment Period, such as loss of group benefits. The law also requires a Pediatric Dental plan on anyone under 19 who enrolls for health insurance.
